Twin Oaks Tavern Winery won GOLD at the Beverage Tasting Institute’s October 10, 2013 Competition, scoring a 92 (Exceptional) for Donna Evers’ 2012 Twin Oaks Chardonnay:
“Twin Oaks Tavern Winery 2012 Chardonnay, Virginia $21: Golden color. Rich aromas of buttery cashew, brittle, pickling spices and apple tart with a silky, fruity-yet-dry medium body and a tangy Meyer lemon, green apple, relish and vanilla cream accented finish. A delicious, zesty chardonnay for all occasions.”

What People Are Saying
“I have been to your establishment twice and I had the best time with family and friends in the past 12 months. I have been to 65 wineries in the area and I will say that in my opinion, you have one of the Best boutique wineries that I have been to.”
“Just wanted to send you a quick note of appreciation. My girlfriend and I visited Twin Oaks Tavern Winery last week and truly enjoyed our time. Fred is very personable and provided answers to all our “historical” questions. I grew up in California and have had the pleasure of going to Napa Valley. I can honestly say that the view from your deck is simply amazing and while I guess your intent was not to compete with west coast vineyards, yours is doing just that!”

“Good evening Donna, my name is David Johnson. I had the fortunate experience of finding your winery about a month ago on my way home to Winchester after a long and rather trying day. I’m sure you receive many emails from people just like me who have enjoyed their time and want to let you know about it…..OK, I’m no different.
I was met by a wonderful lady who, even though it was almost closing time, treated me with the utmost respect and open arms. She was knowledgeable about the wines and the interesting history of your property. Her eyes showed the pride she felt in what she had to offer.
I really want to thank you and your staff for what was truly one of the most memorable fall afternoons I’ve ever had. Your staff are the true gems, the wines are a bonus.
I was once told by a rather famous chef, ‘David, they will come for the food, but return for the service.’ You have both Donna, wonderful wines, and the staff to keep us coming back. Thank you again.”
